I received my Level 1 certificate in 2013 while serving in the US Army at Ft Bliss, TX.

I fell in love with CrossFit for the community that it brings together. If it's not the best hour of your day then something needs to be improved upon.

I moved to Spring Hill with my wife to provide a better upbringing for our two daughters.

I previously worked in pharmaceuticals and treated those with life threatening illnesses. I decided I wanted to prevent such cases instead of treat them.

In 2016 I FINALLY stopped making excuses and started making my fitness a priority. It started with walking our dogs and increased to running 5Ks. Eventually, I built up enough confidence to REALLY try CrossFit. Those first few weeks...months...weren't pretty. But I'm so thankful I stuck with it. Early in 2018, I got my Level 1 and CrossFit Kids Certifications so that I could share this knowledge and passion with others, including my own children. I love being a part of this community— our members of all ages amaze me every day with their determination, strength and the will to improve their lives from the inside out.

I began CrossFit in 2015 to push my limits. I got my CF-L1 in 2017 to help others push theirs. My fitness has made work easier and allowed me to explore new hobbies. In my spare time I go backpacking, mountain biking and rock climbing. If its outdoors, I'm in!

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been a lifelong athlete across a number of sports including skiing (alpine, cross-country and big mountain), windsurfing, soccer, surfing, swimming, water polo, cycling, and endurance running. In late 2006, my knees and back had finally told me it was time to hang it up. Looking for something to do to keep in shape, I googled “garage gym” and it led me to finding my first CrossFit WOD. I completely failed it and have never looked back. I have been coaching since December 2011 and am currently CF-L2. To me, CrossFit isn’t necessarily about how big or how fast you can go, but how much you can improve and enjoy your fitness, your life and your health. And that is the focus that I bring to each of my classes here at CrossFit Render.

I am celebrating year 5 of my CF journey! Receiving my L1 in 2018, I continue to strive for personal growth and to be able to help others reach their fitness goals. In the past, I tried various workout programs, different sports, and several fad diets, but my search ended when I began CrossFit. While I am in a season of life consumed with the busyness of my kids’ activities, CF gives our family a fun but challenging hobby that easily fits into our daily schedule. In fact, my kids and husband love CrossFit as much as I do! In the fall of 2018, I began coaching a CrossFit Kids class, and it has become the most rewarding highlight of my week. I love encouraging kids to push past their perceived limits and reach goals they believed were out of reach! CrossFit Render has become like family, and I am excited to see where my CF journey takes me!
